This summer I had to privilege to work the Social Impact team at GitHub 🎉. I got to developed a survey that went out to around 2,500 of nonprofit accounts on GitHub. Then I got a chance to analyse the data and develop a series of open source guides for nonprofits. These guides cover topics of the benefits of open source for nonprofits, some of the obstacles of adopting open source, how nonprofits can leverage the open source community to help their mission, and a collection of open source resources and alternatives.
I loved and love my team. They’re a great bunch of people. My favourite memory had to be when we all went out to dinner and shared our experiences in tech and in life.
ALL OF THEM. But I spent most of my summer with Scout and Nala.
